UandMe4Ever Posted September 8, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 8, 2009 Hi all, this will be our 1st NCL cruise on 10-30 on the Jewel's Repo. I've been doing some reading on the boards regarding the Romance Package for $79..Dinner in LeBistro, etc. Does anyone have the full details? We only like white wine (is there a choice) and the 'bubbly in the room', is it dry or a choice? We can't drink very dry wines at all. Can we take the wine w/ us if we don't finish it or use it another nite in another dining venue? Any help in this area is most appreciated. Is it worth the price? Thanks in advance for your guidance and we can't wait to be on board. Safe travels to all.
LJH1 Posted September 8, 2009 #2 Share Posted September 8, 2009 Its definitly a good deal. The bubbly is dry it's not a rose type. As for the wine you get to choose white or red at the restaurant and they will recork for you to take to your room or they will inventory it and call it up at your nest restaurant, if you do this they will give you a slip when you leave if you want them to hold it. UandMe4Ever Posted September 8, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted September 8, 2009 Thanks for your prompt reply! The dinner wine sounds ok, especially since they will re-cork and save for a future dinner in another venue (or LeBistro)...Just not sure how dry the bubbly will be? Maybe less than than a "Brut"..Will think on this a little more. Can we order in advance, on line, phone or on board, which is the best idea? Thanks again. LJH1 Posted September 8, 2009 #5 Share Posted September 8, 2009 Has anyone tried to exchange the champange for wine? To be honest I have been able to switch the bubbly for wine a few years ago but they seemed to have tightened up in this area. I also don't like their so called house wine and was also able to exchange this for a Zinfindel but not successful on the last couple cruises even after offering to pay the difference. You must purchase the package a good couple weeks before your departure, you can do it by phone and they put the charge to credit card immediately. It's not handled like excursions where they put in on your OBC .
floridacruiser63 Posted September 8, 2009 #6 Share Posted September 8, 2009 Has anyone tried to exchange the champange for wine? We did, without a problem on the Jewel this past April. No questions asked, they just went ahead and exchanged it at one of the main dining rooms.
OceanDreaming2 Posted September 8, 2009 #7 Share Posted September 8, 2009 Has anyone tried to exchange the champange for wine? We have exchanged both the champagne and the house wine without any problems whatsoever. Just pay a small upcharge. The romance package is SO WORTH the $79!
