Places to eat in NASSAU BAHAMAS

Going to be on the majesty Christmas time want to eat on the island. Anyone have any suggestions??

We always go to Cafe Matisse in the govt area. Gourmet food with prices the same as you would expect in the States.

For fun Senor' Frogs is just to the right at the end of the pier right beside the straw market. We were there last week...drinks start around $6.50.

You can take one of the little vans that run around for a $1. Tell them you want to get off at "Fish Fry". It is an area that locals also go to and has a few places to eat. Good food!

Whenever we are in Nassau (over 15 times), we always stop at a little hole-in-the-wall, across the street from the British Colonial hotel. It is called Conch Fritters. They have the best grouper sandwiches, conch fritters, conch chowder, conch salad, etc. They also have great burgers. Everything is very reasonably priced and they are just a short walk from the cruise pier.

 

They are even listed in Frommers! ;)

The Athena Cafe on Bay Street. Look up and you will see the nice balcony to sit on and people watch. Greek food, beverages and a good view. Downstairs is a gift type shop--take the staircase up and ask to sit outside.

Thanks!! Check out Fish Fry if you want some local favor. Definately a different place but excellent food!! :D
