we sailed the freedom in may 09 and plan on doing so again in may 10.

we were in cabin 6406 (8b)upper deck .was a little noisy from the disco below us at times . i will be booking an (8c) empress deck this time. Just because it's between 2 passenger decks.

We have found that mid ships to 3/4 aft is a great area to book as the ships noise is less and also the ships motion in high seas is less in this area.

as for the aft extended balconies ,one of our folks from the roll call had one and it was nice but the way they are set up the folks above are looking right down on your balcony.

Hope you enjoy the freedom as much as we did!

Hi,

We are just getting ready to book our Jun 2010 cruise on the Freedom. The price range between 8A and 8G categories are so minimal. Can anyone let me know which is truly the best and/or what cabins are recommended?

Thank you so much!

Panorama or Lido = location location location.

Get one of the L shaped cabins right in front of the aft wrap cabins.

Was nice having a double sized balcony for the same price as the the regular balcony right next to us on our Freedom cruise in February.

Just do a search on L shaped cabins and you'll find a bunch of photos...

We usually book empress deck, as we like being sandwiched between cabin floors. Less noise issues. We have been on deck 6 (over showroom) on Liberty (first cruise- sister ship) and did have a slight noise issue with music from showroom. On upcoming cruise (Liberty) we have one of the "L" shaped cabins mentioned above on deck 7 - can't wait to see it!

Just got off Freedom yesterday, great ship! Had the L shaped cabin on deck 6, 6442. Great room, loved it and the extended balcony! However, if you don't like thumping from the speakers in the lounge below, try for the L shaped on deck 7 instead. The noise didn't bother us as we always went to bed after 1:00 AM and it was over by then, but if you go to bed before midnight, you will hear it for sure. We also had the best room steward we've ever experienced, so it was a great room for us.
