Priceline hotel in Galveston questions

Visited betterbidding and biddingfortravel sites. Not much info on Galveston. What was your experience with bidding in Galveston? I would think a 3 star and above bid would get either Galvez, Tremont or Holiday Inn resort on Seawall. What price should I bid? Any other info is welcomed.

I put in a bid for 3 1/2 stars for $90 for 2 rooms and ended up at the Tremont House. That was back in July, we are staying the night of 11/7. I have seen posts since then saying people have had their bids accepted for less than mine. Good luck!

I put in a bid for 3 1/2 stars two weeks ago for 75.00 for 2 nights starting 3/5 and it was accepted by the Tremont House. Good Luck.

we got the Galvez for 103.00 a night.This was on hotwire.

I bid $80.00 on Priceline for a 3 1/2 star in April and received the Galvez. After tax and expenses the total was around $100. If your traveling with more than two people, the room included a king size bed only!

For those that bid for 2 nights - is that the price per night?

First tried to use $80.00 ,because I read about it on M&m.We bid it at $85.00 a night, one king bed facing the city. It was real nice, sort of small room, large bath. It was Easter weekend. Stored the car there for $15.00 plus tip and under cover...Enjoy your cruise.. JY.:p

Does the priceline price include free parking during the cruise? We will be driving there.

Free parking is kind of slim at hotels. I visited a couple that were scary before the storm. Easter we stayed at Galvez just to be sure. Valet parking was $15.00 until after the cruise. JY.
