cheap hotel in Miami with shuttle

If you are arriving late and just want to spend the night, try the Hampton Inn-Blue Lagoon, or any of the other hotels in that area. Free shuttle from the airport, shopping mall across the street with several dining options (try Casa Juan for good and inexpensive Cuban food), and a good breakfast in the morning. Shuttle to POM is only $10 per person; if there are 3 or more in your group you can cab it for under $30 including tip. Good luck!:)

can anyone recommend a reasonably priced hotel in Miami for pre cruise night? Thanks!

Not a clue what "reasonable" is to YOU, but "cheap" in Miami is usually quite scary!!! No decent hotels have shuttles to the port. The only decent places with shuttles are some of the airport hotels, and that's just to/from the airport.3

Taxis are cheap and plentiful, no reason to be afraid of them. Unless you're coming in extremely late at night find a nice hotel on South Beach and enjoy the beginning of your vacation.

When are you going to be in Miami? President's Week a cheap hotel will be $150-$200 per night.

Heed Trent's warning about cheap hotels in Miami. They are scary.

Each time this question is asked, I just shake my head, the locals have a different sense of reasonable and safe than the rest of the country- we stayed in a couple of hotels with a shuttle to the airport and the port and did not fear for our lives, we felt the hotels were very adequate for a single night-;)

The LOCALS know what REALLY goes on in Miami. The LOCALS know about all the muggings, the murders, etc. etc. AND the areas where the majority of them occur!

I'm glad you were safe for a night, but you haven't a clue what you're talking about and were lucky nothing happened to you. IMO some things, such as my personal SAFETY, are worth spending a few more dollars for and staying in a SAFE hotel in a safe location!

Yes, the tourists who come in for an eight hour stay are much more aware of safety issues in the Miami-Dade area than the locals.

There are many areas of Miami where you should fear for your life. Your blissful ignorance of horrible crime will not keep you safe. Please listen to the locals.

Lucy, with due respect, that is a very ignorant statement to make. The locals on these boards are our very best source of information. Please be more respectful.
