waterbugohio Posted September 28, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 28, 2009 Can anyone tell me what my travel options are from Orlando airport to Port Canaveral? I saw all the great rates for Monarch out of Port Canaveral and retired parents love last minute trips. However, driving is becoming less desirable for them. Are there any kind of shuttles or buses? Rare silentbob007 Posted September 28, 2009 #2 Share Posted September 28, 2009 Cheapest is usually renting a car, but if they don't want to drive, there are shuttle companies. If they are flying in day-of the cruise, they can also take RCCL's shuttles.

mykiddiewinks Posted September 28, 2009 #4 Share Posted September 28, 2009 I spent A LOT of time yesterday pricing up transfers from Orlando airport to Port Canaveral, renting a car was definitely the cheapest option. Shuttle transfer - the cheapest I came across was $105 one way. Just google 'Orlando to Port Canaveral shuttles' and you will have plenty to choose from. waterbugohio Posted September 28, 2009 Author #5 Share Posted September 28, 2009 thanks for the info. Yes, $100 doesn't make the cruise a bargain. Will check out rentals. What is the parking like at Port Can?? what rate??
luckyprincess Posted September 28, 2009 #6 Share Posted September 28, 2009 Just a thought, but I know Amtrak runs through to Miami - do they maybe have a train going that way?
mykiddiewinks Posted September 28, 2009 #7 Share Posted September 28, 2009 We booked through Thrifty $36 per day + taxes, you can do one way rentals with a free shuttle from the drop off office, there is a surcharge for the one way but still worked out cheaper than a shuttle. Then we will pick up another car when we arrive back.
emdia43 Posted September 28, 2009 #8 Share Posted September 28, 2009 Try http://www.cbshuttle.com :) $33 per person.
M&M Hayden Posted September 28, 2009 #9 Share Posted September 28, 2009 We're using Cocoa Beach shuttle (http://www.cbshuttle.com/port-canaveral-rates.htm) to get from Orlando to PC hotel to Pier back to Orlando.
mjf8825 Posted September 28, 2009 #10 Share Posted September 28, 2009 We have always used Coco Beach Shuttle and never had a problem. Their prices are very good. You can also go on the Port Canaveral website and they have a list of shuttles you can call and get prices.

Capt_BJ Posted September 29, 2009 #12 Share Posted September 29, 2009 But you have to fly in the day of to use the RCI shuttles?? how much?? any idea where to find info?? other shuttle companies?? The RCCI shuttle will only carry you the day of the cruise - but you COULD fly in the day b4 and stay at the airport hotle and depart from there the next day on the line's transport (or use a local hotel with a shuttle to/fm the airport)
