jimb98 Posted September 30, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 30, 2009 I know it doesn't sail until next year but I'd like a bit of guidance. Looking to do the Med Empires next year and, having never sailed with HAL,I'm a bit ignorant. I've had a pretty good search through the threads but still need help. I know you can buy wine cards, which is fine for my wife, but what about beer ( for me )? I'm afraid I haven't much of a pallet when it comes to wines or spirits so I just stick to whatever local beer the ship normally sells. Based on anyone's previous experience of cruising HAL in Europe do you know what kind of beer is sold, draught or cans, what size measures and can you buy a beer card? I know this may seem unimportant to some but it's very much a part of my holiday being able to enjoy a beer or 4. Cheers, Jim
momatibm Posted September 30, 2009 #2 Share Posted September 30, 2009 Can't answer about brands - but as of now there are no 'beer' cards.

jimb98 Posted September 30, 2009 Author #5 Share Posted September 30, 2009 Thanks guys, especially for those prices, you wouldn't happen to know what size the cans were? I did email HAL for information but received no reply. Sorry to be a pest.
SabreSailor Posted September 30, 2009 #6 Share Posted September 30, 2009 They are usually 12 oz or 33cl cans/bottles. They usually have Grolsch as well. There have been several threads over the years noting HAL's reluctance (for whatever reason) to offer higher quality beers - they don't seem to have an issue with offering higher quality wines.... Rare boards Posted September 30, 2009 #7 Share Posted September 30, 2009 I know the corona was the usual 330 ml size bottle you buy in Canada.
