revjlw Posted October 6, 2009 #1 Share Posted October 6, 2009 I have been on a Princess cruise of Alaska's Inside Passage and 5 river cruises. (Well, truth be told it was three river cruises, a barge trip and the Hutegruten.) Anyway, I am quite certain that cruising with Oceania will require dressing for dinner and the evening. Am I right? Should I take evening clothes? During the day, while on shore excursions, all the descriptions say to wear modest, comfortable clothes with good walking shoes - LOTS of ruins and cobbled streets. So I want to be sure to be properly dressed in the evening and my shore clothes will simply not "dress up" if that is indeed needed. Thanks! No Jacket or tie required ....some men prefer to wear a jacket Most women wear nice slacks or skirts with a nice top (have not seen many sparkles) A cocktail dress ..something you would wear to a nice restaurant will do fine. come over to the Oceania forum for more info http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=
