TravelnAl Posted October 9, 2009 #1 Share Posted October 9, 2009 We are booked on a Mediterranean BTB for next year. The cruises are Venice to Rome to Southampton. Has anyone had experience doing a BTB with Rome as the intermediate port? Does Princess offer tours for Rome for in-transit passengers? Does anyone have any experience with private tours? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

Plenty of advice about private tours for Rome if you go to the "Ports of Call" part of Cruise Critic.
paul929207 Posted October 9, 2009 #3 Share Posted October 9, 2009 We have not done a b2b around Rome, but every b2b we have done, Princess offered tours for the people staying on. You get the info during the first leg.

Duman is the owner (met him in Rome) with Jany as his point of contact. They were great to work with. Caribill is correct, go on your roll call and find someone to tour share. Our costs were about half of Princess tours and we were 8. They can really customize a tour for you. Also, had Maximo Tucci as the Vatican guide. What a great time we had with him. Good luck. Wish we had continued on the b2b all the way to Lauderdale!!
