Latest time to be off the Gem?

If your ship docks early in the morning, passengers are generally required to be off the ship by 10:30 am at the latest. They must prepare the ship for the next group of passengers, who will start boarding some time around noon. You won't be forced out of your cabin at 7 am to go sit in a public area until disembarking like on some cruise lines. You will be able to go have breakfast, take a shower, relax in your cabin a bit, etc. But you will be required to disembark by 10:30.

If you are fit enough to do so, just take your own luggage off rather than get coloured tags. Then just hang around in the Garden Cafe area until the final, final, final call for all passengers to disembark. We did that in Istanbul the other day from the Jade because we were staying an additional night in a hotel and couldn't check in until mid-day. They do get a bit stroppy in the end, but just keep waiting if you like until they call your name and cabin number...and they will if necessary!!

With such a late flight it will not really make much difference as you will have to handle the luggage after disembarkation. Storage options in Barcelona are limited. We did this in March, and held onto the luggage just moving around the Marina area, sitting on benches and also going into the modern shopping mall there. The time does pass eventually and we went for an early dinner in a local restaurant where you can pass a couple of hours, then head to airport.

We got off today and the last call was "PINK" 9:30. Now what time they chase you off is another matter.

This part I will really enjoy over the other line that u sit and sit in their assigned rooms.

Bulldog....first of all I sorry you even had to get off the ship. Will you be writing a review? I'm especially interested in the officers on board, the activities director, the concierge & if you had a butler who that was?
