Wow.... some of you folks are ridiculous. This nice woman is going above and beyond to give you some info, and some of you are asking her to check rooms for the most ridiculous reasons. Why dont you let her enjoy her cruise.. she is offering information out of niceness, and some of you are taking advantage.

Hi Denise. Thanks for the info from the Dream. I can't wait to sail. I know you said no more room numbers but can you check 1409 for me. I just want to know what is across from it. On the deckplans there is another cabin and some white space and I was wondering if that was some kind of crew room/meeting place/supply room and how close to the elevator is 1409. I can deal with around the corner but I'm not sure how close the room is. Just a little concerned about noise. I really appreciate it.

And can you check cabin 7329? There's supposed to be a solid gold toilet in that cabin, but I wanna be sure before I book. And can you see if cabin 1476 is really 10' 4" and 2/16" wide, because I heard it was 10' 4" and 1/8" wide.. You did bring a tape measure, right? And does cabin 5612 have three bath robes? Cuz my brother and his wife and his girlfriend all want to have their own robes. And can you tell me if cabin 2314 smells like smoked salmon. I heard it smells like smoked salmon. Speaking of salmon, can you fish from the cove balcony cabins? If so, what type of bait should you use? :)

This will be our first balcony (well I had a Jr suite on RCI but it was bad weather and didnt get to use it!!).. we are on port side, towards the front. Just curious if you have time... the lanai.. will we be looking down at that or the water.. we will be like 14 or so cabins from the front. Just curious so I know what to expect... its DH's first balcony!

Denise, one question if you can answer. We have an 8C balcony. We always sail RCCL so this will be a first (well a second for CCL but that was a long time ago). Anyway, on RCCl balcony doors open from side to side. Do the Deram baloncys open like this or like a regular door. If so, how would I keep them open while I slept. Thank you.

 

Ok, I have not been on the Dream, and I am not Denise, but she is way to busy checking out each cabin listed in the previous posts.

I can't answer the question of what kind of door it has to the Balcony, but

I have read that taking a bungee cord with you,

comes in very handy for holding open a balcony door :p

We happened to board back today right above some cove balconies. They're cute. Oval inset, 2 chairs with high backs and a table, a very nice sized window and windowed door. So that one I won't knock on. ;)

 

Not sure if the 1409 was a serious post but it's probably just the housekeeping storage area. And it is very close to the elevator.

 

9472 and 6479 are wraps. I didn't go knocking on doors today though. Barcelona day. Most stuff you can see from the deck plans on the Carnival site. Oh, and another thing from the room crawl, all the cats seem to have a really good deal of closet room/storage space.

I am also eagerly awaiting news on the two aft wrap cabins, 6479 & 7454. More for room configuration. Do they look like this one on deck 8, or are they roomier? Do they have a desk? Sofa? Chairs?

And just what is the Crimson Lounge that's under the deck 6 rooms? A venue that rocks all night or is it pretty quiet after midnight?

The balconies I saw were normal door with a handle. Crimson Lounge - never heard of anything going on in there at all. It's not a disco or the piano bar (very popular) or anything. And actually the rooms are seriously amazingly quiet. I don't even hear flushes from the neighbors, and you know how loud flushes are! I do know I have neighbors because thier rooms get cleaned, but never hear them.

 

I've taken notes of all the rooms, but we have no sea days left and most people don't spend a lot of time in their rooms, but I'll try to take some time to go be nosey if anyone answers. I will say that the one wrap-around I saw had a bed on the diagonal, which I actually thought was neat. Looked good to me. I had no idea there was a balcony on deck 2 so I'll knock on that one the most. It's right above me anyway.

 

Please no more rooms. My feet hurt! BIG Ship and 3 more port days left - Barcelona, Monaco and Livorno, then Rome Home.

Bring COMFY SHOES! Did I mention it's a big ship? I miss my Crocs so much. Between all of the shore tours and walking around the ship, then a sea day of room crawl and another sea day of Behind the Fun, this is about the first time I've sat down for a significant length of time. Oof.

Come on guys you worry too much about your next trip if you are expecting some poor person to start knocking on doors to find out info on your next room.

Denise has a bigger heart then I do. I have ADHD and do not no the meaning of sitting and relaxing, and I still will not be running around the Dream in November finding out info on all your room resorvations.

If you really do need all this info call Carnival and findout for yourselves.

I think all of us with aft wraps are nervous after seeing pictures of those on deck 8...the cabin was TINY, not at all acceptable given the premium price they paid. I have a wrap on deck 7, and admittedly I am a little nervous myself.

We are on deck 11, have you been on the forward elevators and gone out to the public deck from that area? Just wondering what is on that deck, from the pictures it just looks like tables and chairs. Does the deck circle around the pool area? Not asking you to go look but figure you have probably been in that area.

If you have a cove balcony you will look down at the water. Any balcony on deck 6 or higher will look down at the lanai. The lanai goes all the way around the ship.

 

Of course if you sit on your balcony you will still look out at the ocean!! Someone else asked that. The new Oasis of the Seas will have interior balconies that look down inside the ship. There may be some others with interior balconies but I don't know about them.

I had 6492... the room was HUGE!! The sofa was nearly seven feet long... lots of storage; the only drawback was the bathroom door would not open flat against the wall. The balcony was large enough for a lounge, two chairs and a table. I am going back on this ship in October 2010 and plan to book this same room:)

I LOVE the wraps on deck 6 on the conquest ships and it sounds like they are just as wonderful on the Dream! We would have booked it (deck 6)for our trip in June, but we have at least a dozen other cabins full of friends and family going, and I was worried about noise from the clubs below filtering up like it did on the Glory....figured deck 7 was safer for the group! With that said, did you have any problems with noise?
