Hello from Carnival Dream & some stuff

Thanks for the input. Now I am really excited to get on the Dream this Thursday!!! So glad to hear good things about the Dream and Todd. I had read some negatives about him.

Cove balcony 2371. That's where I'll be soon. It is right near the elevators that let you out into the casino, judging from the deck plans. Perfect for my roomate and me. DHs just groaned when we told them. Warned us not to come home broke.

Denise, Thanks so much for posting while on the new "Dream". I want to hear all about it as I sail on the "dream" out of NYC on Nov.15th. Sounds like a beauty to me. Enjoy the rest of your cruise and also will be waiting for a full review when You return home. IKE

Denise, could you possibly check 6479 to check the wrap balcony...is it truly a wrap and is the room really really small? All kinds of rumors running around that there is no couch - you have to hop over the bed to get to the other side of the room - and that the balcony isn't as represented in the floor plan...Thanks (and relay my thanks to the people in 6479 if they let you peek in)...tracy

Denise, If possible could you check cabin 7454....Know it is a wrap balcony but very concerned about cabin size. Saying very very small, but mostly thought it was deck 8.

Thank you SO MUCH!!! Can't tell you how much we appreciate any info!

I am also eagerly awaiting news on the two aft wrap cabins, 6479 & 7454. More for room configuration. Do they look like this one on deck 8, or are they roomier? Do they have a desk? Sofa? Chairs?

And just what is the Crimson Lounge that's under the deck 6 rooms? A venue that rocks all night or is it pretty quiet after midnight?

Thanks so much for this!!!!!! :D

Oh, and there are tons and tons and tons of activities, but people just don't show for a lot of them. I walked by Password and there were 6 people there. Kind of a waste of James' time. But an easy win of champagne for someone.

Thanks for taking the time to post such great information!! It's greatly appreciated by me and my husband! We'll be on the 10/27 Transatlantic cruise, so we've been anxiously awaiting news from those who sailed before. :D

Denise, you are a real sweetie to even be checking in on the boards....a true representative of the best of CC! IF you are in a balcony cabin, could you snap a picture of how they open please? On the Glory they used a "key"....on the spirit class it is a complicated clamp.....just wondering what to expect if we want ours opened on the Dream.

Example from the Glory

The balconies I saw were normal door with a handle. Crimson Lounge - never heard of anything going on in there at all. It's not a disco or the piano bar (very popular) or anything. And actually the rooms are seriously amazingly quiet. I don't even hear flushes from the neighbors, and you know how loud flushes are! I do know I have neighbors because thier rooms get cleaned, but never hear them.

I've taken notes of all the rooms, but we have no sea days left and most people don't spend a lot of time in their rooms, but I'll try to take some time to go be nosey if anyone answers. I will say that the one wrap-around I saw had a bed on the diagonal, which I actually thought was neat. Looked good to me. I had no idea there was a balcony on deck 2 so I'll knock on that one the most. It's right above me anyway.

Please no more rooms. My feet hurt! BIG Ship and 3 more port days left - Barcelona, Monaco and Livorno, then Rome Home.

Won a hundred at the casino on Blackjack so this post is brought to you courtesy of Carnival. :)

Funny how people are just rabidly throwing out room numbers, like she's really gonna go around knocking on doors asking to inspect and photograph other people's cabins..

I totally will on some. I don't expect answers at decent times of day and I'm not knocking now at 1am. That 2 balc has me really curious.

I don't understand why you just enjoy your vacation instead of peeking in other people's rooms.

I probably wouldn't let you in my cabin. I mean, you seem like a nice person, but if you just came knocking on my door, and I didn't know you from these boards, and I had to get off of my wife to come answer the door, I'd tell you to go to galley! :) Seriously though, thanks for the info. Hope you're having a good cruise..

Congrats on your win Denise! And having had a few aft wraps, we have had discreet knocks on our door from people wanting to see our cabin....we always let them look....

Denise has gone "above and beyond" just by posting here...I for one appreciate that!

Hi Denise. Thanks for the info from the Dream. I can't wait to sail. I know you said no more room numbers but can you check 1409 for me. I just want to know what is across from it. On the deckplans there is another cabin and some white space and I was wondering if that was some kind of crew room/meeting place/supply room and how close to the elevator is 1409. I can deal with around the corner but I'm not sure how close the room is. Just a little concerned about noise. I really appreciate it.

Although I won't be on the Dream until next August, I just want to say thank you for giving us some info on the Dream. I greatly appreciate it.

I'll be in an 8C on Promanade Deck 8 with two 16 year olds across the hall from dh and me and we can't wait.

Thank you. Enjoy your cruise.

Denise, one question if you can answer. We have an 8C balcony. We always sail RCCL so this will be a first (well a second for CCL but that was a long time ago). Anyway, on RCCl balcony doors open from side to side. Do the Deram baloncys open like this or like a regular door. If so, how would I keep them open while I slept. Thank you.

And can you check cabin 7329? There's supposed to be a solid gold toilet in that cabin, but I wanna be sure before I book. And can you see if cabin 1476 is really 10' 4" and 2/16" wide, because I heard it was 10' 4" and 1/8" wide.. You did bring a tape measure, right? And does cabin 5612 have three bath robes? Cuz my brother and his wife and his girlfriend all want to have their own robes. And can you tell me if cabin 2314 smells like smoked salmon. I heard it smells like smoked salmon. Speaking of salmon, can you fish from the cove balcony cabins? If so, what type of bait should you use? :)
