I have been waiting for someone to put a review up from our Bandito cruise but ot no avail as I hate to type sp please forgive the typos.

Let me start by saying we had a GREAT CC roll call , had fun before we even left.

This was our ninth cruise sixth on Carnival and with out a doubt our best cruise . We had our some friends with us , their first cruise. I told them they should stop LOL. I 'm not sure you could improve on this. The ship was beautiful , we were on her in 06 and it looked newer this time. We did 2 nights in Cocoa beach at the LaQuinta Beachfront, nice place great location.

Okay we arrived at the pier via Avis shuttle around 11am, dumped the bags , booked throught the lines , they were laready boarding people. We were on board by 11:30. I did here as we were leaving , western intinerary people get on earlier as eastern poeple seem to disembark quicker as they clear customs faster. I guess its a St. Thomas thing.

We grabbed some chow a few drinks headed down to the cabin at 1:30. luggage started arriving early we were unpacked and ready to meet our CC friends by 3. We headed up for a meet and greet and then off to the dreaded muster drill. It was quick and painless.

Dinner was as 8:15pm we had Mary Grace as our waitress, she was fantastic. Emillo was her asst. and he was great as well. We ate every night in the dining room , a first for us. The food was so good we never had a night that we didn't love what we had . I had 2 shrimp cocktails each night , yummie.

First stop Cozumel.......

We booked a tour of Passion Island. It was a jeep tour through This is Cozumel. All I can say is wow if you have never seen Passion Island , GO, it is one of the most beautiful places we have ever seen, it is where they shoot the Corona commercials. Beer / alcohol and food was included in the price $65 pp and well worth it. The twister boat that Carnival books goes to the same place.

Belize was next , we couldn't decide on what to do and since you have to tender we decided to eat a leisurely breakfast and then go hang out for a while. We hit the pharmacy , got some drugs LOL and some local rum and then downed a few Belkins and had some lunch at one of the local places.

Costa Maya, without a doubt our favorite stop. We love to go downtown and hang out. Its not as quaint as it was before the hurricane, but it is more modern, so restrooms are cleaner and food establishments are more modern. We dickered with a few different guys until we found 6 beers for $10 and free tequila shooters. A lot of our CC group ended up there and we all had a great time .

This will tell you how nice the weather was , on Thursday there were chairs everywhere around the pool area , as people were getting too much sun. There were lots of people out but still plenty of room. Once again great day , great service and great food. Did miss out on the fish and chips , everytime I went it was closed. Oh well have to find something wrong.

On to the Bahamas, not my favorite place but we did have fun walked to the Hilton got a $40 pass to use there facilities , they gave us $30 back in food and drink coupons. Spent the day there nice place, not hard to spend $30 though.

We did the luggage express thing on the way home , so put it out and didn't see it again until we arrived home , very very nice.

Some highlights, we loved the piano bar, Russell is great. Happy Cole was very funny, both the R rated and regualr show. The vegas shows were very good. If you have any questions ask I will try to answer to best of my ability.

We leave tomorrow on the Glory and I really appreciated your review. We have booked Nachi Cocom in Cozumel, plan to head to Mahajual (?) Beach in Costa Maya, stay on the boat in Belize and then perhaps let my adult (26, 23 and 18) children go to the Atlantis waterpark while DH and I stay in the casino. I am hoping we have as nice weather as you appeared to have. Thanks so much for posting!

My DH & I took the Twister boat to Passion Island on 9/24/09. We had a great time. The buffet was good and so was the open bar.:D Only 32 people on the island that day icluding the staff. it was like we had the place to ourselves. Highly recommend this tour. Don't take the Twister if you are prone to motion sickness.

Nice review Steve! We were on the Glory on the 9/19 sailing. It had to be the cleanest ship that we have ever sailed on. They were even cleaning the tops of the fire doors!

The food was very good. We really liked the Lido for lunch. I had Chinese almost everyday! The corned beef & fish & chips (upstairs) was pretty good too.

The only thing in the dining room that was bad was the "flat iron steak" It was horrible. Reminds me of the old "Royal Steak" that was served on RCCL. I even mentioned to our tablemates that it still had the whip marks on it! :)

All in all...a great cruise!

Joe<----Just countin' down the days! :D
