Flight out of FLL

For an 11:00 flight, I'd want to be at the airport by 9:30- you're required to be there by 10. This means you'd want to be getting in a cab at 9, so I'd want to have an 8am or earlier time slot to leave the ship, in order to track down your luggage and navigate the taxi lines.

It'll probably be easier to either self-disembark or try to get into the first group off the ship. You should make it barring any immigration delays (or delays getting into port in the first place), and I'd rather head to the airport ASAP and risk getting there early and being bored, than waste time and miss my flight.

Keep your luggage and ask for independent disembark - then you can actually leave when you want but agree that it is better to be at airport early than later because security can be ugly when the ships are coming in. We have had that surprise before - airport quiet when we came in but very slow and crowded leaving. Good luck
