Loved your pictures of Rome. We will be there next September and hope to see many of the same sites. What hotel did you stay at and was it close to most of the sites? From your picture of the street outside your hotel it looked close to the city center.Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks.

We didn't stay in a hotel. A group of us got together and coordinated the rental of a 3-bedroom apartment near the Spanish Steps. It was really a fantastic location or being easy to get anywhere from there, HOWEVER it was an expensive place. Had we only planned a couple of days stay I think we would have gone with a hotel, but for 4 nights (27th, 28th, 29th, and 30th) we saved some money and we got VERY nice (if sometimes cramped) accommodations.
