If he books for the two of them now and they break up, can he have her replaced in his cabin (for say, his daughter?)

In short ... Yes! You can make a change. One of the orginial people have to remain on the listing for the room.

I know that the ES rates won't allow changes, but I can't find a clear answer on whether the Fun Saver will allow the change

Will have to pay a fee for a name change. Watch out for the CCL time limits to do this.

as long as you don't book ES you can change a name. i had to do it a few years ago and there was a $35 charge since it was after final payment. before final payment, no charge. it may have gone up since then. hope this helps.:)

Another thing you can do is list the 2nd person TBA(to be announced) that should eliminate any name change fee.

Actually you CAN make changes with ES rates, but it costs the $250 deposit amount to do it...the rest will transfer. I just did it.

I dont think with ES you can. I would make real sure before I did it.

 

Seems like that would be a name change but Im not positive .... I would talk to someone and get it documented if you do it with ES that they agree you can add a name later.

Well I booked early in the spring with ES and then I broke up with my boyfriend. I cruise in four weeks and I changed the reservation to my best friend. I had to pay a $250 change fee and then it was done

This is a time to use a real Travel Agency/Agent for your benefits..

 

Make sure they are a member of ASTA. Which requires there members to provide a 1/2 Million $USD Bond. So you well know they are not going to be gone ..

 

Also you may want to think of Insurance Policies on this matter. Yes always obtain Private Insurance not from the T/A or Cruise lines.. you want to benefit most yourselves.
