vapple Posted November 18, 2009 #1 Share Posted November 18, 2009 We will be sailing on the MOS this coming January, 2010 How many times can one be put back into the pool for a guarantee balcony room? We have gotten two rooms, but they are really forward and we are holding out for something more midship. What is the possibility of getting that or an free upgrade? Or should we just take the best of the forward cabins?

MOS means nothing.
cruiseguy1016 Posted November 18, 2009 #3 Share Posted November 18, 2009 You don't have to hope for a better cabin. Once you are assigned a cabin, you are free to take any other cabin in that category that is available. If you are assigned a D1 for example, find an available D1 that you like and ask to be moved to that cabin.
vapple Posted November 18, 2009 Author #4 Share Posted November 18, 2009 Sorry about that...We will be on Mariner of the Seas..The cabins we got were 6518 and then 7246, sailing on Jan. 10, 2010. We are in category E1. Will we hurt ourselves by being thrown back in the pool too many times?
Gonzo70 Posted November 18, 2009 #5 Share Posted November 18, 2009 If you are concerned about location, is there a reason you did not book a specific stateroom? The purpose of booking a guarantee is for the passenger to save a little money in exchange for the cruise line being able to fill a hard-to-fill stateroom. Never mind what cat guarantee you booked If you have 7246 now, call and switch to 8332. Great location. Just say you'd like to switch cabins within the same category.
