Best sailing / snorkling excursion?

Hi all,

 

first time with the 12 DS and the 8 DD, both very good swimmers, would like a good sailing trip with some beach time... maybe 2 reef snorkle stops... and have some time to walk Cozumel afterwards....

 

Any advice???

Cozumel isn't known as a sailing destination, so there aren't a lot of choices like you'd find in Virgin Islands.

 

This tour would be my first choice.

Has anyone takemn the ship's Fury catamaran excursion (Royla C) recently?

 

we signed up for that as it combines snorkel, sail & beach time...

We've taken the Fury, lots of fun, each time, we were a group of adults, and didnt see many kids... but then we were all involved with our own party.....

 

Not really looking for a sailing/sailboat... more of a Fury type cruise with more of a family focus.

 

But since it doesnt look like there is a lot to choose from, what about the best snorkel tour?

I don't know if it is "the best" but the snorkel tour that leaves from Playa Palancar goes to the world famous (at least if you are a diver) Palancar Reef. Plus you'd get some time at a nice, relaxed beach club.

 

The Mystic Snorkel tour is also well regarded.

 

Finally, if you are looking for a more family oriented fury-type snorkel tour, try contacting Tom at Paradise beach club. I know that in the past he has arranged a catamaran tour departing from PB. It isn't listed on the PB website, so you'd need to email him directly.

I've been with Mystic three times. It's a great snorkel experience. She usually only takes up to 12 so you get lots of individual attention. She always drops us off at Paradise Beach for lunch and we taxi back with time for shopping. I don't shop so I'm not sure how much time you would actually have...depending on how much you want, I guess!
