GregD Posted November 24, 2009 #1 Share Posted November 24, 2009 Does anyone know why she is delayed. I was just walking back from class and I was able to see her still there. It was cool to see her all lit up at night. She just left BTW
Peddler&Tass Posted November 24, 2009 #2 Share Posted November 24, 2009 I noticed the same thing as we normally watch on the webcam ... I thought it may have been foggy but didn't appear to be. May have had some issue that extended past time ... I'd like to know also as to WHY? Later Jim

firefly333 Posted November 24, 2009 #6 Share Posted November 24, 2009 It was foggy where I live when I woke up that morning. It could have been weather or something like that, I wouldnt read that much into Ecstasy being just a little late getting in once. We would have seen it posted here if it had been something to be concerned about.
Nursegirl Posted November 24, 2009 #7 Share Posted November 24, 2009 It wasn't late getting in because I was on it and we were docked by 8:30am....weather was beautiful in Galveston yesterday....
firefly333 Posted November 24, 2009 #8 Share Posted November 24, 2009 I think folks are used to the Conquest which gets in earlier. Im often off the Conquest and driving home before 8 am.

Peddler&Tass Posted November 24, 2009 #10 Share Posted November 24, 2009 Ecstasy is usually gone by 4:30 most times, it was after 8 last night ... If I would have to venture a guess, it would be customs or a mechanical problem that was being attended to. Later Jim
dna1990 Posted November 24, 2009 #11 Share Posted November 24, 2009 The beer order was delayed, no use in setting sail into the first night without a full stock.
tinabinab Posted November 29, 2009 #12 Share Posted November 29, 2009 In case anyone still wants to know... The ships' doctor that was scheduled to be onboard was delayed and we could not sail without a doctor. Kinda wonder who made his travel arrangements and put him getting in on the sailing date - we all know better, why don't they?! ;)
iceshots Posted November 29, 2009 #13 Share Posted November 29, 2009 This is the story I heard on board as well. The O2 club director told my daughter there was a technical problem. Maybe it was a bit of both. We had the aft cabin and in the evening prior to eventual departure we heard a lot of hammering and banging coming from the side of the ship. This was followed by a very large bang such as a hatch being closed. It also looked like the security guard on shore was watching something or someone working on the side of the ship. My guess was they were having a problem with a hatch.
