All Things Triumph

I know I am being a coypcat here, but I've noticed how popular the "All Things Victory" thread has worked and figured I would give this a try. We are sailing on the Triumph in March and I am curious to see pictures and hear ideas and others thoughts about this ship.

Of the ships we have sailed the Carnival Victory has been my second favorite behind the Carnival Legend. Any help, thoughts or pix are much appreciated!

I agree! I'd love to hear some reviews and pics since she was relocated to NOLA. I will be aboard Jan 28th!

You will be waiting for us to get off, so you can get on. (We'll hurry:))

We sail on the 23rd. With the holidays coming, I am thinking time will fly by.

I would love to see more pics of the Triumph.

I was just on her in October ... I wish I could go again! Especially out of NOLA! Here are some of my thoughts.

LOVED:

- our aft balcony 6467. Perfect location, lovely views. Enjoyed meeting our aft neighbors when coming in/out of ports

- Chocolate chip cookie & chocolate fudge layer cake from the Cafe. Sadly we didn't try both until the last day, but they were delish and well worth the cost! (I think around $1 for the cookie, $2 for the cake)

- Paris dining room. We had a great table for 2 for dinner and fabulous waiters (thanks Fernado & Ernesto). And of course the chocolate melting cake

- Breakfast in Paris. The hostess was fabulous and gave us great tables every day, and the mini croissants were delish!

- Quarter shooting machine at the casino. Lost everything I put in it, but never had so much fun at the casino

- Shows. Hypnotist was super funny, as well as the Action Comedy guy. I personally really enjoyed the Big Easy, thought the singing/dancing was great.

- BINGO!!! Didn't win, but came close a couple times.

- Watching Karaoke in Rio Lounge

- Hotdog/Fries at the Coney Island Grill

- Upper deck seating at South Beach restaurant - never had a problem getting a seat

- Grilled Cheese/chips from Room Service

- Elegant night. Love getting dressed up and doing the Photo Row on Promenade

Sorry this was so long but we enjoyed every second of our trip and would go again in a heartbeat. If anyone on an upcoming trip has any questions let me know!

Jenn

Please, please... all those that are going out of NOLA on Triumph in the past few or next few weeks - post your thoughts, reviews, PICTURES, and hints... we are counting down to our 12/19 departure and can't wait to hear more about Triumph since the relocation to New Orleans!

For all of you that are cruising the Triumph in the near future... can you check and see if the Bannister Island excursion is still availabe in Belize. I know it is no longer available to book online prior to the cruise, but I am curious to know if it is available to book once onboard. I have heard all the rumors, discussions and problems with Bannister, but our kids had a blast there last year, and we are sure hoping it is still available.

An old thread resurrected from the dead:) Glad it's hear. I would love to hear how all the new 2.0 upgrades are being viewed by those who have sailed. I'd also like to hear how FTTF is working on the Triumph. How well does embarking and debarking work and what's the earliest people have been able to get on the ship with and without FTTF.

How's the Taste bar and what have you found from the food selections that are good, better, or best compared to the old Triumph. What about the entertainment and live performers, who are not to be missed. How's the Karaoke???

Please, you Triumph travelers help us out!!!

Thanks:)

We were on Triumph in July, so here goes!

FTTF - worth the investment, IMHO! We were onboard and playing by 11:30; unpacked by 12!

Taste bar - We didn't indulge, but Guy's Burgers are wonderful!

Food - best I have had on Carnival, and I generally like Carnival food. The brunch is still in place on sea days, minus the Punchliner part of it - very good!

Shows - good; prefer the family friendly comedy to the adult shows, mainly because of the profanity. I am not a prude, but frequent F bombs are not enjoyable to me.

Music - my biggest complaint! It was so loud that you could not carry on conversations anywhere within a 200 foot radius - or more! If you like your music loud, you will love it!

Progresso - take it or leave it - not impressed. Cozumel - Nachi!!

Hope this helps
