Help with cabin on Carnival spirit

This is my first cruise on Carnival and am being offered 5228, 5171, 5179, 5161, or 5190 on the Spirit. Anyone know of any problems with any of these. Thanks

I was in 5179 a few years ago. It's considered an "Obstructed balcony." The tenders (lifeboats) are under your balcony and if you try to look over the side, down, directly at the water, the tender will be directly underneath you, blocking your view.

 

When you're sitting on the balcony, sipping a glass of wine and gazing off into the ocean, you won't see any obstructions at all.

 

5190, looking at the deck diagram, looks like it might have a wall that blocks your view towards the back of the ship. Given the option, I'd choose one of the others.

 

The Spirit obstructed balcony's are a great value and there's really no obstruction to speak of.
