DMH15 Posted December 29, 2009 #1 Share Posted December 29, 2009 Let's say you get to take one of these cruises only, which would you choose? One night CTN in a Garden Villa. Two night CTN in a Deluxe Owners Suite. Three night cruise in a Courtyard Villa. Five night cruise in a penthouse. One week cruise in a mini suite. Ten day cruise in a balcony. Twelve day cruise in an outside. Two week cruise in an inside. Assume all DSC and tips were paid in full. Which would you pick? (This was a family discussion over the holidays and opinions differed.) TrikeRider Posted December 29, 2009 #4 Share Posted December 29, 2009 Ten days in a balcony - that is the lowest cat. I will cruise in.
Got Tequila? Posted December 29, 2009 #5 Share Posted December 29, 2009 Two weeks in an inside cabin would be great for me. :) We did 17 days on the GEM in an inside in Jan/Feb this year and loved it. I've cruised in an AB, and several AD suites....it wasn't hard for us to go back to an inside to get to spend a longer time on the ship.
*Wink* Posted December 29, 2009 #6 Share Posted December 29, 2009 10-day balcony. Note: I've yet to have "the suite life," so obviously, I don't "know" what I'm missing. I'm fairly sure if I HAD cruised in a suite before, I'd pick "5-night in a Penthouse." According to many here, once you cruise in a suite, booking anything less just won't do. :D
LOWTYD Posted December 29, 2009 #7 Share Posted December 29, 2009 As much as I would like to try the higher cats, I would also choose 10 days in a balcony. (Second choice is 5 days in a Penthouse just for the perks!)
coka Posted December 29, 2009 #8 Share Posted December 29, 2009 10 day cruise in a balcony (I guess I am one who can 'go back' after sailing in a suite although an AC is the highest reached). coka
biker@sea Posted December 29, 2009 #9 Share Posted December 29, 2009 Our last 14 day B2B was an inside cabin. I would do it again tomorrow if I could get the time off. We were not in the cabin much as there was so much to do.
DMH15 Posted December 29, 2009 Author #10 Share Posted December 29, 2009 Hi Donna, I'd take the twelve day cruise in an outside. Enjoy Hi Doug We had a true white Christmas first in Dallas in something like 88 years. I am still frozen. I pick the 5 day in a PH. Please let it be somewhere warm! Hi to Chris. It's very kind of you to offer. I'll take the ten day balcony, please, and then I'll pay the upgrade cost for mini-suite or penthouse. Thanks for paying the DSC and tips, too; that's really sweet of you.:D InThe

jp2001 Posted December 29, 2009 #18 Share Posted December 29, 2009 14-day cruise in an inside. 10-day cruise in a balcony and 5-day cruise in a Penthouse also seem very nice.

alwalaska Posted December 29, 2009 #20 Share Posted December 29, 2009 I may be tempted to try the 10 day in a balcony if it is somewhere like New England/Canada or Panama Canal where I think the balcony would be extra special, otherwise, it would be the two week interior. Fun question.
Kathyh1313 Posted December 29, 2009 #21 Share Posted December 29, 2009 10 day in a balcony- In the interest of full disclosure :) we have never cruised in a suite but we have cruised in an inside and outside. But I soooo enjoy the balcony for morning coffee, private sailaways and watching the sea and stars at night...ahhhhhh. Thanks for asking Happy Cruising and Happy New Year! :D Kathy
IWORK2CRUISE Posted December 29, 2009 #22 Share Posted December 29, 2009 I hope to try a CV or luxury suite one day. For now, long cruises are terrific. I would select 2 weeks inside or 12 day outside because they are the longest. Also, a one night CTN in a Garden Villa does not even allow you to really enjoy what you have. TomAndJane Posted December 29, 2009 #24 Share Posted December 29, 2009 It all depends on where you are going. If I was going to the Caribbean it would be a 14 day inside. If I was going to Alaska, it would be a 10 day Balcony.....
Azure Moon Posted December 29, 2009 #25 Share Posted December 29, 2009 I'd love to choose the two week cruise in an inside cabin, but because of hubby's work schedule, I'd have to go with the one week cruise in a mini suite.
