Would we like the Spirit?

I have been reading that the bathrooms on the Spirit have the sink outside of the shower area? (I mean like separate from the bathroom itself) Is that true in all cabins? We sail in Feb in an inside cabin. Does anyone have any photo's showing how the bathroom is laid out? it's hard to tell on the ships cabin layout.

Thanks in advance.:)

This was not the case in our balcony stateroom.

We had an aft Penthouse suite on the Spirit for our Boston to Bermuda Cruise. Nothing beats taking a jacuzzi bath looking out the window over the ocean. Or taking a shower and looking outside. The toilet is in a separate compartment with a glass door across from the shower - so it is away from the sink but in the same room. There is privacy etching on the door so you are not "exposed" but you can look thru the shower and out to the ocean as well.

The ship is very elegant - we really loved the asian decor.

Butler service was excellent - he kept our coffee, ice, & creamer supplied. Cabin steward was very poor, not sure why our room often didn't get made up until after lunch...

One of the best perks was eating both breakfast and lunch in Cagneys - food was excellent, service was excellent, and nice quiet atmosphere.

The Conceirge was exceptionally helpful and sweet and took care of all our reservations.

We liked the smaller ship. We did find the blue lagoon crowded at times when we dropped by for a snack (mostly for my 14 year old son).

We are considering booking an owner's suite on the Spirit. While we prefer the newer Jewel class ships (although we have been on the Star and, gulp, the Dawn), the dates and itinerary we are looking at are a good fit. Would we be dissapointed on the "older" and "smaller" ship? (although you may know we are easy to please!).

TIA,

DM

We loved the Spirit. Yes, it is smaller, but if you liked the Star you should be fine with her. The decor is lovely and the crew really friendly. Our biggest complaint, the cabins were a little small and the casino sucked. But no one made me leave all that money in the slot machines, I did it all on my own...

LOL! I've never blamed anyone for my "voluntary" donations! :)

Thanks to everyone for the helpful comments.
