ncat Posted January 8, 2010 #1 Share Posted January 8, 2010 First of all, I apologise for the rambling questions - we're cruise virgins, you understand!!:D  Do drinks get served with dinner? I see there's a wine/soft drinks package that can be pre-ordered - is that the best idea? Should we pre-book our table? There's only 2 of us - will we have our own table? Also, if we book the times of the seating then find we're running late, would this be a problem or would they let they table go to someone else? If you don't pre-order the excursions, will you be spend more if you decide to book these onboard/when you get to the islands? Also, is there plenty to do when you get off the ship at the islands or should you really book the excursions? Are there power points in the cabins (balony stateroom overlooking boardwalk)? Is there a charge for things like pilates/exercise classes?
Rare steamboats Posted January 8, 2010 #2 Share Posted January 8, 2010 First of all, I apologise for the rambling questions - we're cruise virgins, you understand!!:D  Do drinks get served with dinner? I see there's a wine/soft drinks package that can be pre-ordered - is that the best idea? Drinks are served with dinner but you have to pay for them (except ice water, ice tea, lemonade) :D. Yes, you can order various wine packages either online or onboard. Yes, you can order a soda package ($6 pp/pd + 15% service charge). The soda package can be only purchased on the first day of your cruise and has to be purchased for the whole duration of the cruise. Should we pre-book our table? There's only 2 of us - will we have our own table? Also, if we book the times of the seating then find we're running late, would this be a problem or would they let they table go to someone else? There´s an assigned seating for Main or Late Seating. No one will take your table if you arrive late. You might be seated with others on a larger table. You will stick to that table for the whole cruise. With MyTime Dining you can either make a reservation (daily in the morning) for a certain time or just show up (and maybe wait). If you don't pre-order the excursions, will you be spend more if you decide to book these onboard/when you get to the islands? Also, is there plenty to do when you get off the ship at the islands or should you really book the excursions? Price doesn´t differ between booking online ahead or onboard. If you want to go on a certain excursion it might be better to book it ahead. You can also organize your own thing. Are there power points in the cabins (balony stateroom overlooking boardwalk)? There are two US-outlets 110V and one European outlet 230V next to your vanity area (on the side under the table). And other cruisers have discovered an outlet behind the headboard of the bed. Is there a charge for things like pilates/exercise classes? Yes, pilates is $12 per class or $30 for 3. Same for yoga. Other classes may have a charge too (like spinning, boot camp). Besides the classes using the fitness center is complimentary. steamboats
waterbug123 Posted January 9, 2010 #3 Share Posted January 9, 2010 Is there a charge for things like pilates/exercise classes? I believe basic aerobics classes are free, but there is a charge for spinning, pilates and such.

No one will take your table if you arrive late. If you arrive to late you may not be served because it would delay the second seating dinners.
