trixietx Posted January 16, 2010 #1 Share Posted January 16, 2010 We are thinking of doing a back to back cruise and if you have done one how did you like it. The first week it will go to the western caribbean and the second week (if we do it) will go to the eastern caribbean. We have been to all of the ports, some more than once, but we don't care. Just wandering if the same ship, same shows and same food would get boring.
Aunty Pat Posted January 16, 2010 #2 Share Posted January 16, 2010 Same shows & same menus doesn’t get boring. There are always multiple choices for evening entertainment and on the menu. So on that second week you can repeat the things you really loved the first week and chose the things you were sorry you didn’t have a chance to experience the first week. The 2nd week will also have a completely different feel just because all of you fellow travelers will be different. Rare Essiesmom Posted January 16, 2010 #4 Share Posted January 16, 2010 Have done three B2B so far, and have a fourth coming up. Those on Carnival were the same cruise twice, but on HAL, they were sold as two or one longer cruise. Menus were not repeated on the second week, although some of the entertainment was. Goldeneye Posted January 16, 2010 #5 Share Posted January 16, 2010 Doing our first B2B 27th Feb / 6th March.. Southern Caribbean on board the Celebrity Summit, the Ports of Call are different except for a day back in San Juan.. looking forward to spending a day exploring there as in the past the focus has been on embarkation with no time to explore SJ or if we've arrived early we are usually booked into a resort hotel and enjoy the relaxation after a long flight.. Rare Waynetor Posted January 16, 2010 #6 Share Posted January 16, 2010 We recently finished a B2B2B (60 days) on Princess. The process was very easy. At the end of each segment we were given a new card the night before and just needed to get a photo taken to activate it while others were embarking. We were able to continue our bill so we only paid once at the end. Alcohol purchased on the first segment was delivered on the last night of that segment so if wanted, it could be used on board. We made sure we had the same cabin for the whole cruise so there was no packing to do between segments. At the end of the first segment we were among only 8 people staying on the ship so there was no excursions available (this is likely the case for most Caribbean cruise) while at the end of our 2nd segment about half the passengers were continuing and there were excursions available. Cruise ship productions shows, welcome parties etc are repeated but generaly other entertainers do not stay on more than a couple days. paul929207 Posted January 16, 2010 #7 Share Posted January 16, 2010 We have done several b2b's on Princess. First thing, try to book early, so you can get the same cabin for the duration.
