we're going on EOS 3/19/10; ports are St. Thomas and San Juan; does anyone know

of a good place to get conch. I've had it once and loved it. getting hungry already

I second the recommendation for Gladys'. It's tucked away in a little pedestrian alley, surrounded by shops. Gladys (or I assume it's Gladys) sings behind the bar. Very fun atmosphere.

I know that they used to have conch fritters and conch chowder....but, hey,

If I read the menu correctly, the chowder price was less for a bowl than for a cup. By the way, is her place within walking distance of either Crown Bay or Havensight?

It is downtown in one of the gades/alleys.

Actually, we have walked into town many times. If you do any walking at all, you can make it! It is about 20-25 minute walk and there is sidewalk all the way as I recall.
