CC Friends in south OK and TX....Need HELP

Our cruise is this Sunday leaving out of Galveston. We are in OKC and need to know current road conditions from OKC to Dallas????? We were planning on leaving in the morning, but now, we don't know what to do......anyone living in south OK and Dallas area, do you have weather updates and road conditions?????? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

We live in Lawton and we are clear, I know most of the TX schools around us are still opening at 10 (Wichita Falls area), so the roads must be pretty good down there.

Things are looking better and better, and the weather reports say we are to clear up today.

 

It is never a bad idea to leave as early as you can, but I think leaving in the morning should be okay. Once you get out of the Dallas area, you should be in the clear.

in Canada we have The Weather Network site and it is great for giving all sorts of info. I believe you also get this in the States - I can access any city there and get this info. Wish you well and drive safe.

We live in the (Bedford) MidCities area between Fort Worth and Dallas. Have more than 11 inches of snow and neighborhood roads barely passible. TV shows highways open and drivers making headway, but not much traffic. Check:

We are in Plano TX north of Dallas. While schools are closed, the snow is melting fast you should be fine to leave in the morning. Enjoy!

Snooner 1 - Remember that the highways are different from the side streets in the neighborhoods. The side streets had only light traffic all day yesterday snow the snow built up with nothing to plow it with. They do put resources into the highways though. It is already starting to melt (though slow)
