Vianky Posted February 14, 2010 #1 Share Posted February 14, 2010 Are there comedy shows on the Valor? If so, is there family AND adult version? Also, what type of shows/entertainment should I expect on the ship at night? This is our first cruise and I'm trying o get an idea of what things we will be able to do after dinner
firefly333 Posted February 14, 2010 #2 Share Posted February 14, 2010 They usually have a short show in the theater where the comedian performs a shorter version, supposedly family style (with a few off color thrown in imo). then he has full shows in one of the lounges often the following night, one or two shows, that are x rated. golfgod003 Posted February 14, 2010 #3 Share Posted February 14, 2010 From what I've read on some of the reviews, there a at least two - maybe three comedians on the Valor these days. They usually have an early (family) show and a late (adult) show. There usually are at least three different shows available to check out on board and they change a fair bit, so you'll just have to wait and see ;)
Mrs. Squirrel Posted February 14, 2010 #4 Share Posted February 14, 2010 Just off the Valor. There were several comedians that week. We only saw the first one, because his 'family' show was too off color for us traveling with a 6 yr. old. Spent alot of time covering my DS's ears during other shows, as well. Don't remember that much adult humor seeping into family performances on prior cruises. Not a complaint, just will know to send DH first night to preview temperature of the ship's entertainment before we assume family means family. Besides the comedians there was a juggling act (sounds lame, but he was amazing and funny), a magician, a couple of vegas type singing/dancing shows, a Nashville recording artist who did a special 8pm show one night, and a talent show where fellow cruisers pre-auditioned to play the roles of famous singers like Britany Spears, James Brown, etc.. X-rated comedy? Was he naked or something? I like my comedy with a little less porn..
