Princess from Port Canaveral?

We just got back from the Crown Princess out of Port Everglades and wish that Princess could get a ship to Port Canaveral, which is only an hour and a half from where we live. Does anyone know why Princess doesn't have a ship there?

I believe the port is pretty much full with Carnival, Royal Caribbean and Disney. I don't think there are any empty docks ...

They have spent the $$$ on Port Everglades departures.

If we want to leave from a port close to home, I get Alaska......if I lived 1.5 hours from FLL, we would be cruising the Caribbean, at least twice a year, especially with the deals you can get right now. It is the flight that makes these trips so much more expensive and takes 2 extra vacation days......lucky you.....
