Windstar Costa Rica independent excursions

Has anyone done a sail/snorkel package out of Playa del Coco? We're looking for an alternative to the ship's excursions. Also, does Windstar have an agreement with any of the local resorts to use their beach and pool? Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Have you tried going to the Ports of Call section of this webpage and asking your excursion question there?

By agreement with resorts, do you mean so passengers may use the facilitites at no charge? Not that I know of.

I couldn't find one for Central America. There doesn't seem to be much information about the Pacific coast of CR except in the various Wind Star postings. I'll probably book a tour independently using Google, but I always find the recommendations here from people who've done the itinerary are the best.

I was able to book a catamaran snorkeling trip through Rich Coast Diving. Ziplining would be fun by my husband is over the weight limit.

I'm originally from Michigan, and I'm a teacher too. I hope we meet on the ship.

Interested in the ziplining in Costa Rica. What is the weight limit and how high is the zipline?

I don't know how high it was because we didn't go, but the materials from WindStar said the weight limit was 235 lbs.
