hartskys Posted February 21, 2010 #1 Share Posted February 21, 2010 We are thinking about just going to Seven Mile Beach and relax for a while and to see the beautiful water. We are planning on taking the bus, where is the best place to get off to enter the beach for free?
bookbabe Posted February 21, 2010 #2 Share Posted February 21, 2010 http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1139865 Just tell the bus driver which beach you want and he'll stop...there aren't really set bus stops...
clackey Posted February 21, 2010 #3 Share Posted February 21, 2010 We got off at Cemetary Beach and spent the whole day there. It has a few trees, so there is a little shade. There are some coralheads out 100 yards or so from the beach with plenty of fish. It is at the far end of 7 mile so it doesn't get alot of people. We saw about 30 people all day. There is a store a short distance up the road if you need refreshments.
hartskys Posted February 21, 2010 Author #4 Share Posted February 21, 2010 Isn't there a free access spot by Seagrape that is nice? I'm not sure if we are going to rent chairs. It will depend on the weather as my MIL will be with us so we may not stay long but I want her to see the beautiful beach and water for sure
bookbabe Posted February 22, 2010 #5 Share Posted February 22, 2010 Both Royal Palms and Sea Grape are access points with free facilities and a bar/restaurant. Both offer rental chairs and umbrellas, watersports, etc.
hartskys Posted February 22, 2010 Author #6 Share Posted February 22, 2010 So just to make sure I have this right. I can tell Bus Driver that we want to get off at Sea Grape and we can walk onto the beach free and it only costs $$ if we rent chairs?
cuted126 Posted February 23, 2010 #7 Share Posted February 23, 2010 Whats the difference between Sea Grape and Royal Palms? Is this all the same beach? Are Sea Grape and Royal Palms just areas along Seven Mile Beach?

Are Sea Grape and Royal Palms just areas along Seven Mile Beach? Virtually no difference, as far as I've been able to tell...just different sections of Seven Mile Beach. The main difference seems to be what bar/restaurant is located there, and which watersports operator is doing the rentals. Facilities are pretty much the same, though, for all intents and purposes... trucruz Posted February 23, 2010 #10 Share Posted February 23, 2010 Can anyone tell me what kind of beach chairs they have a Sea Grape and Royal Plams? We do not like the hard white plastic lounge chairs. Our tired old bodies need more comfort...haha. Thanks
