remmebr Posted February 21, 2010 #1 Share Posted February 21, 2010 Just wondering what the best surfing spot would be in Barbados? Also has anyone used Zed's for surfing lessons? Any info would be appreciated.

Any info would be appreciated. Soup Bowl at Bathsheba. Not recommended for ameturs. Other options are South Point which is near the south point light house, Freight which is the bay before south point light house. Depending on the time of the year there is also a break at Sandy Lane ( the point before Sandy Lane hotel). This break is usually around December / January. There are many more places, I have just named the popular ones that most people may know. I dont know anything about Zed's

Rare John Bull Posted February 22, 2010 #5 Share Posted February 22, 2010 Just wondering what the best surfing spot would be in Barbados? Also has anyone used Zed's for surfing lessons? Any info would be appreciated. Most popular beaches for visitors are on the west coast, but way too placid for surfing. East coast has big Atlantic rollers, but some viscious rip-tides - dangerous even for the experienced without local knowledge/guide. South coast is best for most surfers and wind sports, Rockley beach to Silver Sands. John Bull
