Question about early Saver...

I booked a cruise for June 26th 2010 back in January on early saver. I work in law enforcement, and we have had a number of unfortunate incidents which has made our shift very short. My Lieutenant has since taken back everybody's vacation days through July. Final payment isnt due until April 27th. At this point will I be able to switch my cruise to a later date so not to lose my $$? Has anyone had any experience with this? Just asking for some input. thanks!

I believe that as long as it's before final payment you can swap the dates of your cruise for a $50 pp fee, but at least you will not lose the entire deposit.

As you're booked Early Saver, prior to your final Payment Deadline you can re-book to a different ship, different date for $50 penalty per person. You do NOT have to re-book Early Saver, but if you don't you'd lose your Early Saver Price Protection thereafter. Your current deposit (less $50 per person penalty should be applied to your next deposit. If you don't want to re-book immediately, they will hold your deposit. You need to sail within one year. ken

I would delay cancelling if you arent sure when you can book. You have one year from the date you cancel. Once you cancel, the clock starts ticking.

I had to do this same thing 2 weeks ago. If you do not rebook when you cancel, then you have to come up with a whole new deposit. You lose $50.00 per person either way. If you do rebook when you cancel, you just have to pay the difference between the new deposit, the old deposit minus the $50.00 per person fee.
