anotherlurker Posted March 1, 2010 #1 Share Posted March 1, 2010 We have been shopping for a b2b for Sept 2011 for east/west Caribbean. We pretty much have decided the dates, ship, and cabin size. With the rumored price increase on March 22 for summer sailings, should we book an ES rate while on the Splendor this March or just use our PVP? Our PVP helped us choose between different itineraries so he aware we are shopping. He also reassured he would get credit whether we book with him or on board. We sail out on March 21 and looking at prior Capers, the loyalty & cruise vacations desk doesn't open until the first sea day (the day of the price increase). We will get added bonuses or on board credit if we book on board or should we just book with our PVP prior to sailing? I guess like the post title says... what's the advantage to book a future cruise on board?
firefly333 Posted March 1, 2010 #2 Share Posted March 1, 2010 You can either book it onboard, or buy a FCC to bring home and book thru your PVP. Your choice. The only advantage to a FCC is OBC. Nothing else.
kicia Posted March 2, 2010 #3 Share Posted March 2, 2010 Book the cruise with whomever you want now. Buy the certificate on board and send it in to get the OBC. That's the only thing you're getting but it sure is nice. The $100 you pay comes off the final payment and that is just getting the $100 price of the certificate back.
