6rugrats Posted March 5, 2010 #2 Share Posted March 5, 2010 Just curious; why would a three year old need a S&S card at Camp?

Kerry's Girls Posted March 6, 2010 #4 Share Posted March 6, 2010 I kept my childrens' sign and sail cards in our cabin at all times unless we were in port and needed it to get off/on the ship. Otherwise, we didn't need it anywhere. Best, Mia
crusinmama06 Posted March 6, 2010 #5 Share Posted March 6, 2010 Nope, she doesn't need it at Camp. :) I keep ahold of my kids cards. And it was funny (well NOT at the time) however - this last cruise, I finally allowed my daughter a little freedom and gave her the card (she's was 9 on that cruise) -- well she lost the card - TWICE on a 4 day cruise. Next time I am duct taping it to her wrist. :p;) But no, there is nothing for them to charge in camp at that age. cb at sea Posted March 6, 2010 #6 Share Posted March 6, 2010 If a child is to young to be alone anywhere, they do NOT need to have possession of their card....parents should hold onto it at all times.
A&Jfamily Posted March 6, 2010 #7 Share Posted March 6, 2010 I keep my son's key - he is usually in a separate room with my mom so it is easy access for me. My older, now 11, carries his just as we do - on giant plastic bungie lanyards. We carry a hole punch and punch holes in the cards while we are waiting to board. seacrcsvz Posted March 6, 2010 #8 Share Posted March 6, 2010 We recently cruised with Carnival and our three young boys (2, 4, and 6 years). We carried their S&S cards at all times, and at Camp Carnival they won't allow the kids to have their own cards with them. Just as a note, you should carry your childs card at all times, or whomever is escorting your child should have their card, and not leave it in your cabin. If there were an emergency and you weren't able to return to your cabin, you could find yourselves in a difficult situation - it is your only form of identification, etc. in an emergency. I wouldn't trust my child to carry it until they are plenty old enough to not lose it, and to understand the rrelevance of it.
