Prefer a place with a free shuttle. La Quinta miami airport east. close to the airport, provides free pick up after your flight and free shuttle in the morning to the pier. This hotel is also reasonable.

South Florida is not a place you want to leave your car for an extended period of time in an unsecured lot.

bermudagal56 Posted March 7, 2010 #5 Share Posted March 7, 2010 These are 12 college age boys so the cheaper the better to them! my daughter and her 2 friends just stayed there and it came out to $110 total (w/ an AAA discount). It came out to 37.00 each for them w/ 3 in a room. The place is nothing fancy but it met their needs for just one night when they got into miami and it included a continental breakfast which was just ok. They got picked up promptly from the airport and the next day were on the ship by 10:45 and eating their first buffet by noon. Everything went smooth! Then I highly suggest a hostel in South Beach and parking the car at a city lot at the beach and then paying to park at the port. While they may spend a little more money including parking, the blast they will have in South Beach will make up for it. Nothing worse than a bunch of college age boys stuck out at the airport. That just screams trouble.
