Connecting door question

I have a family of 6, and we have reserved two connecting inside cabins on FOS for November. We've only done DCL previously, and the connecting doors between the rooms were very heavy and would not stay open. I'm not sure if this is a general cruise thing, or if it was just specific to DCL ships. Has anyone that's had connecting rooms on FOS tell me whether or not the connecting doors will stay open (or can be propped open)? I just like to be able to hear the kids if they need me!

The doors should be able to stay open...if not, put a shoe in between them...it will give you enough opening to hear into the next room! Being only one wall away is probably closer than you are at home!

I don't remember if we had to do something special with the doors to keep them open, but when us girls were getting ready for dinners, we had the doors open and music playing. It wasn't an issue though.
