I was just wanting to know any info about her? I notice that there is no Self Service Laundrettte but do they have an Ironing room? Any other info woulb br greatfully appreciated. cb at sea Posted April 4, 2010 #2 Share Posted April 4, 2010 Nope--if you want something pressed, you have to pay them to do it.... it's 1/2 the cost of dry-cleaning for pressing only.

Ocean Boy Posted April 4, 2010 #4 Share Posted April 4, 2010 No RCI ships have self service laundries. Independence is a beautiful ship. We did an 8 night Caribbean sailing on her Feb 20. If you have any particular questions about her I'd be happy to try to answer them.

suvicki Posted April 17, 2010 #6 Share Posted April 17, 2010 We are sailing on IOS next week and sailed on her last year. I dont have pics of the disabled room we stayed in but it had plenty of room for us. We had an E2 balcony room. We had room for hubby in electric wheelchair, extra armchair and a mobile hoist. The bathroom had grab rails, wheel in shower and a fold down seat. We hired a shower chair rather than request one from RCI as they are only requested and we want to make sure we had one. It is a great ship we found it very easy to get around and staff very helpful. Put your question about the pics on the disabled cruisers section and you should get more help there.
