Best Western for Atlantis Access

I am looking to book a room @ the Best Western. It has rooms for $190 plus tax. It gives full access to Atlantis, and it will save us about $60.

We are going to be in Nassau on May 4th, BUT I am worried with all the problems the Fascination has had & weather being unpredictable we will pull into port a day early etc. What happens to your hotel reservation then?

If we show up on the 3rd will Best Western still give us our wristbands?

Has this happened to anyone? Please give me some advise.

Could not answer about getting there early. However, I can say that last year we could not use the water-park due to thunderstorms. Those of us that booked through Carnival got refunds but there were a lot of people that booked rooms at other hotels just to get wristbands that were not refunded by their hotel. Just an FYI.

I would double check to see if you will actually have full access to Atlantis...according to the Best Western website, it says you are close to it...

""Tropical wonders await guests at the Best Western Bay View Suites on Paradise Island, Nassau, Bahamas. Hotel guests will be close to Hartford Beach, the Atlantis Resort & Casino and the Marina Village. Island shopping, restaurants, golf, swimming with dolphins and other activities are all a short distance from the hotel. ""

As far as I have heard, you either need to stay on Atlantis property, or its sister property the Comfort Suites for full access to all of Atlantis's amenities. If there is availability at Atlantis you can purchase a number of different day passes that will allow you access to the water park, the aquarium, the lagoons, etc, but it is not included your room price. (unless you stay at Atlantis or Comfort Suites), and is sold on a first come , first serve basis, and sometimes can sell out.

You may already know all this, but just thought I'd give you this info in case you weren't aware.

Hi ALP

Can you tell us how you confirmed that BW will issue you wristbands to Atlantis and if they are FULL access bands please?

I was just going to ask that...I don't see it listed on the website like CS lists theirs.

Sorry, but I'll have to agree with everyone else. I have looked at the official Paradise Island website, the official BW website, and even unofficial review sites like Trip Advisor and Expedia and have not found anything that says that there is even an inkling of access to Atlantis while staying at the BW.

I hope that you are not in a non-refundable situation. If so, they have a nice quiet pool that you can enjoy. They say it's secluded.

Good luck, and please let us know if we are misinformed.

Best Western does NOT have Atlantis access, I was on the bahams website and pulled up hotels with Atlantis access and it listed Best Western, but when I called Best Western they said no. They are CLOSE to Atlantis but don't offer access. The question is still valid even for the Comfort Inn.

I have not booked anything yet, because I keep coming back to my original question. We did this cruise last March, we were suppose to go to Half Moon Cay on Monday and Nassau on Tuesday, but because of weather we switched days. I am just wondering if you were booked for a certain day and the ship switched ports what would you do?

BUT I think I have talked my husband into getting a balcony instead of doing the AquaAdventure :D

Comfort Suites is the ONLY non atlantis owned property with access to the Atlantis included.

Atlantis Royal, Coral and Beach Towers, Reef and Cove, Harbourside and Ocean Club are part of the Atlantis family and include access. No others.

No one answered my question, everyone got caught up with which hotels offered Atlantis access and missed the question. I apologize for introducing the misinformation in the first place, the website that said Best Western DID offer Atlantis access has since changed their information.

What happens if you book a room for Atlantis access and then your ship gets to port a day late or a day early? Will the hotel give you your wrist band or will you be SOL?

If you know ahead of time and can cancel within the terms of your reservation, you will just lose the room, AND lose the wristbands. If you are a no-show or show a day late, (didn't call to cancel or change) you will be SOL. This is true for Atlantis as well as all the other properties. The only time you are guaranteed a wristband is if you purchase it from the cruiseship. Even same day passed purchased at Atlantis are subject to availabiltiy and sometime not available.

Thanks and sorry for the confusion my thread caused, it seems like you pay the extra thru the cruise ship for peace of mind. We really want to go to Atlantis BUT I just can't get past the cost! $300 for a day @ a water park is a bit steep . I think we will just walk around Atlantis and maybe go to Ardastra Gardens & Arawak Cay.

The extra $300 will get us a balcony...

For what it's worth, it SEEMS like Travelocity or other online brokers can give you a better deal for a CS room than Comfortsuites.com themselves - even with the Alabama Farmer discount.

For instance, for our cruise, access for 6 to Atlantis was $840. A room through comfortsuites.com was around $650. Travelocity was about $510. MOST taxes and surcharges are included at Travelocity, but I can't guarantee they won't tack something else on while you're there.

I'm cruising in Sept so I am saving $$$ so I can go to Atlantis booked through the ship since well if there is a storm and we reroute, etc I want the protection...also since there is only 2 of us booking a room doesn't really save anything. I also asked my BF that IF we got OBC would he want to upgrade room or use it for something fun...he didn't want to answer at this time...lol...yeah so I'm looking for ways to save some cash and make it happen because I would like to at least say I did that!

You do realize that you will need 2 rooms for 6 ppl. Max 4 ppl to a room.

You're prices seem to indicate that there may be 2 rooms, but I just wanted to make sure. No surprises.
