Have you heard the one about a HAL mariner driving a Mercury Mariner?

 

That would be me. The truth is just last week I found a little SUV to buy that was the right size and shape and color and such.

 

The fact that it has the name it does amuses me no end.

I must admit I did think of that:D I must say, in my own defense, other factors weighed much more heavily in the decision.

 

 

The sales rep, by the way, was a Carnival ship fan. We felt we needed to steer him to the dam ships, just for his own good.

I recently tried to get our Warden to buy new Outside Patrol vehicles for the Prison off the state contract. They were Ford Escape Hybrids. For some reason he just didn't want to go there... :D ;)
