port arrival time?

I just got an email from my TA, alerting me to the time change for embarkation of the Carnival Pride out of Baltimore in two weeks (May2-9). As most of you know, they've changed it from 5:30 to 4:30. So, my question is, what time do you seasoned cruisers suggest a newbie arrive at the Port of Baltimore? I have already filled out all necessary paperwork online (as least those that are available online), except for my credit card info. I'd like to get on the ship as soon as possible, but don't want to spend hours on end sitting in the port (travelling with my 3yo DS that will need to be occupied while waiting). I was planning on arriving at around 12:30 before the time change, so I was thinking maybe 11:30? Does that sound reasonable? Thanks in advance!

I park about 10:30 so I can get to the check in desk approx 11 am. Sometimes its open and sometimes its not .. but I like to be early and get onboard and get to that buffet for lunch. We dont eat much breakfast, so we look forward to that first buffet once onboard.

Probably your time of 11:30 am sounds safer, in case they are running late debarking the last cruise .. and open up a tad late .. that way your daughter wouldnt be waiting in line waiting for the desk to open.

YEA,,,I'd suggest 11 to 11:30 should work about right. Never sailed out of Baltimore, but if it's like all the rest, that'll get you aboard with a minimum amount of "sittin' around".

Have a GREAT cruise.

In the past the ship doesnt dock until after 9am unlike in other ports the ships arrive before the sun is even up.

I am curious on how this works since we are booked for February.
