patsyc Posted April 22, 2010 #1 Share Posted April 22, 2010 I'll try to keep it as short as possible... 4 of us have been booked for the Voyager next Sunday and 1 of us (my grandma) has been hospitalised. She will not be fit enough to take up the cruise. As it is so late, cancellation is a bit pointless and the remaining passenger in the cabin would then have to pay for a single supplement. Her travel insurance was bought overseas (she is currently overseas) and doesn't appear to cover cruise cancellation anyway. So ideally we would like someone else in the family to take her place if possible. I've read some posts about Carnival and how they can change the name of passengers for a fee. Is there anything like that for RCCL? Thanks.
gerif Posted April 22, 2010 #2 Share Posted April 22, 2010 Yes, contact them (or your TA) immediately. I believe it's something in the neighborhood of $35 to change.

conrad75070 Posted April 22, 2010 #5 Share Posted April 22, 2010 There won't be a single supplement charge since you paid for 2 in that cabin.

patsyc Posted April 22, 2010 Author #9 Share Posted April 22, 2010 Thanks all for your quick response. I forgot to mention we're in the UK. It appears things work a little different here... I've checked the UK equivalent of that page of RCCL website and it tells me to check the terms and conditions which appear nowhere on the website! Anyway, I will contact our TA tomorrow! It's definitely worth a try! Thanks again everyone! :p
