Transferring tickets/Name change

I'll try to keep it as short as possible...

4 of us have been booked for the Voyager next Sunday and 1 of us (my grandma) has been hospitalised. She will not be fit enough to take up the cruise. As it is so late, cancellation is a bit pointless and the remaining passenger in the cabin would then have to pay for a single supplement. Her travel insurance was bought overseas (she is currently overseas) and doesn't appear to cover cruise cancellation anyway. So ideally we would like someone else in the family to take her place if possible.

I've read some posts about Carnival and how they can change the name of passengers for a fee. Is there anything like that for RCCL?

Thanks.

Q: Can I make changes to a guest listed on my reservation? s.gif

A: Names may be changed up to 24 hours prior to sailing provided one of the original names remains on the reservations.

Name changes will be subject to a $35 per guest fee if one of the following conditions exist:

Thanks all for your quick response. I forgot to mention we're in the UK. It appears things work a little different here...

I've checked the UK equivalent of that page of RCCL website and it tells me to check the terms and conditions which appear nowhere on the website!

Anyway, I will contact our TA tomorrow! It's definitely worth a try!

Thanks again everyone! :p
