New to Celebrity-Some Questions

Hi all,

This will be our 17th cruise, but first on Celebrity. Hope experienced folks on Celebrity, and especially for the Century, can answer questions. We have an inside cabin:

1. Is there a retractable clothesline in the shower? 2. Are bars of soap, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion supplied?

3. I looked at the wine packages offered online. Are there other packages available on board other than the Sommeliers and Captains. At $37.62 each, seems pricey, especially as it says this is discounted. Is this the price range on the wine list, or are there less expensive ones?

Thanks for your help. Cheers, Annabelle :)

Hi Annabelle, welcome to Celebrity:)

1) yes, there is a clothesline in the shower

2) yes to the soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion

3) I will let those who are doing the research for the wine

packages help you. They just revised it so not sure what is what;)

Hope you have a great cruise. Century was my first Celebrity ship

and she is terrific:)...one suggestion, try Murano's for one evening.

It is the Specialty Restaurant. It is 35.00 per person and worth

every penney (in my opinion).

Definitely go to Murano restaurant one night! I thought the food in the main dining room was terrific too. I hope they improved the coffee. I enjoyed the Century and am trying to go again soon.

Hi Lorie, yes SUMMIT has them;):)

The S class ships don't have the retractable clotheslines in the showers

but they do have them on the M class.

And SUMMIT has "Normandie" which is the Specialty Restaurant,

while Century has Murano's. Both are wonderful.:D

They may have changed things since my last cruise but I didn't have conditioner in my cabin on Summit in Concierge Class or on Century in a Sky Suite.

Hi Cathy,:) when was your last cruise? All cabins I have been in

offered it and I usually book just a regular cabin..inside, window....

I know when Solstice came into the fleet in 2008 they started putting

all the lemongrass items on all the ships. They are the little bottles.

Thanks for your answers. I'm hoping someone can clarify the wine packages. The new packages being discussed seem to be the all-inclusives. We are only interested in bottles of wine for dinner, not wine by the glass, or in combination with other drinks. Is that available? Thanks!

What is the difference between an M class and an S class ship? Which one does the Constellation fall under?

They do have a wine package. I am just not sure what it entails.

If you go to the X website you can find those packages on the

home page and read about them:)

It shows 3 different wine packages to choose from:

M Class....Millennium, Summit, Infinity and Constellation....they fall

under the Millennium class.

S class....Solstice, Equinox, Eclipse (so far) with more ships coming.

The difference is the S class are newer, bigger, hold more people,

more dining venues, more drinking venues.....

Solstice is the first in the S class which came out in 2008.

The M class are older but I like them very much as do others on here.

Seems both class of ships have their fans. Actually there is also

C class...which are Century and Mercury. Smallest of the 3 class

of ships.

Thanks for clearing that up. All this cruise speak is so confusing *lol* I have so many abbreviations to learn as well.
