Temperature and Weather Information for Ports

While cruising and before getting into a port, does Princess Cruise Lines tell passengers the temperature and weather conditions of the Port the ship is heading to? First time cruiser here and heading to Alaska... and from what I've read Alaska's weather can be a bit fickle. I was just wondering if there will some sort of heads up on what we can expect at an upcoming port as far as weather is concerned.

Check your Princess Patter each evening when you return to your stateroom after dinner, it will have the following days weather prediction listed on the front page. ;)

You can also check the average temperatures and precipitation from the Princess website. After you log in, on the Personalizer page there is a place where you can check the weather for the date of each port that you are visiting.

While you're on the cruise, there's all sort of info (outside air temp, sea conditions, etc.) on the navigation channel on your in-cabin tv.
