Brava, Coka!

What a wonderful review, and I'm so glad you're officially off the hook from your promise! After all, we must sail together again someday!;)

Thank you for giving me a wonderful read on this chilly, bleh Monday evening!

(Oh, I was bummed to see that you're officially not going to be on the Epic TA with us. Boo!)

Epilogue:

So the Dawn fulfilled all my dreams on this 4/25 sailing to Bermuda. What more could I want or ever hope for? An excellent vacation for the honeymooners and me, we made the seven hour journey home alive in five and one half hours. We did not die. As Mr. Coka asked the question where and when I was cruising next, I pulled out his happy birthday champagne bottle and explained the truth behind what he had forgotten years ago. He was apprehensive but happy for his present even though I created an addendum where I could look myself in the mirror and live with. I would stay home…as long as I could always look at the unopened champagne bottle to remind myself of all the good times I had in seeking a win and having dreams fulfilled with NCL. If opened and the contents disappeared, then I get to cruise again in the future. I then placed it on the fireplace mantle. By post #7 I decided to look at it forever in the refrigerator. Standing by my word I was not going anywhere, I had all I could do to contain myself when I found the empty bottle in the trash by post #14 . I had not even a sip . Am I a typical woman? I’ll let you and Mr. Coka be the judge. He did report however, it was seriously the best bottle of Brut he ever had.

Coka,

NO! I don't want it to end! I've become your biggest fan! You really crack me up... :) Thank you for taking the time to write in such detail. I'll be on the Dawn 6/6 and I can't wait. I know one thing...I'm booking a massage as soon as I get on the boat! ;)

I hope to cruise with you one day...

What can I say?? AMAZING! Would love to sail with you someday, Coka!

I hope we run in to the good Doctor when we're in BDA in July. We've been to the Maritime Museum (a friend's DD was doing an internship there one year and she gave us a great tour) but it's been a while, so maybe it's time to go back!

Wooo Hooo ..... I love Mr. Coka! I need to send that man a bottle of whiskey.

Life just wouldn't be the same if we never cruised together again.

Coka,

Great cruise story!

Just have two questions as we are sailing this Sunday on the Dawn.

Was the casino open while you were in Bermuda?

When you were in the Spa did you notice any 6 foot blonde Scandinavian Massage Goddesses? Sure would be nice to have someone to compliment your Romanian Massage God.

Happy Cruising,

Monty

We hope so! (Of course, we'd also like to meet you on a cruise:D.) Oh, I have attached the schedule of events for you. You are the first non-Lion to see it (well, you and every other Cruise Critic member that reads it;).)

See you at the fiddler's show, the fireworks, the lumberjack competition, and the cow plop contest (love those...I have always dreamed of winning a cow plop contest)!

The casino was not open while in Bermuda.

Yes, there was a tall beaudacious blonde beauty...but she was the manager.

Hi Jenny,

Romanian spa guy should be there. I dare you to ask him if he could possibly wear a one inch heel.

Have a great cruise!

Thanks princess! The fun stuff is here. I just submitted the formal review to CC last night for the Write A Review on the Dawn boards.

Absolutely wonderful review (as usual)! I really had no fear that you would sail again as I had a plan in place in case Mr. Coka held you to your word. I would just start a campaign for all who read and love your reviews to write to Mr. Coka and swamp him with a ton of mail!:eek::D;)

Maybe this will be your lucky year, first you win the champagne and then you win the cow plop (it kind of still amazes me the number of people that will stand there and wait for a cow to do her business). You'll have to tell me how all of the shows are, I hardly ever see any of them as I'm in the booth almost all weekend (might get a couple hours here and there).

The Special Event to Debarkation:

...The Romanian god got a STYLE card for exorcizing the last demonic remnants of pain, stress, and tension from my muscles that cruising and dancing could not get out. Unsure whether to sleep until debarkation or to marathon swim back to the big apple, relaxation and energy synergistically made me feel like I could accomplish either. I attended the crew show mid afternoon which is always a highlight for them and for the passengers. The Dawn crew put on a great show with the concluding Fountains finale being a not-to-miss observation from afar or from close up near the stage.

If you are silver, gold, or platinum latitudes member, a special gathering is set up on any NCL ship sailing longer than five days (I think). This sailing’s special gathering took place in Dazzles Lounge with Jose and Patti performing. This group of repeat passengers sat in the comfy chairs and were entertained while they could select a variation of cheese and crackers from a table set up on the side while sipping wine that was free flowing. Cruise consultant Sherry greeted everyone at the entrance, HD Hugo stopped by to visit, and envious passengers stood in the hallway wondering what on earth was going on. They too were entertained by Jose and Patti.

I was entertained by the guy I sat next to in the very long cushioned seats with the high backs that created a ½ wall down the hallway. He told me he sails NCL as often as possible. He also congratulated me on winning the champagne because he was at the latitudes party earlier in the week. I asked him what number NCL cruise was he on. He did not answer. He just looked at me and smiled. “What number is this for you?” I inquired again. Having sailed NCL since the late 1980’s, he suggested I do the math. “No, no, no, I can not add that fast, you MUST tell me exactly,” I firmly demanded the third time. He looked at me, chuckled, and sipped his wine.

Doing the math, I concluded it was my destiny to have sat next to this possible savior-in-the-booth instead of sitting at the bar. Curiosity piqued, I asked “If you were at the latitudes party, then why did you not raise your hand? Certainly you must be way beyond 29!” He did not answer. “Should you have won the bottle?,” I asked while leaning closer to him and batting my eyelashes so he would friggin answer me. He replied this sailing was around 45 or so. Or so? Halleluiah! Beyond heaven, I thought this day could not have gotten any better! I responded in glee and cheered far out loud with more than just a yay. “I must give you my bottle for YOU are the true winner…you have won…I can not keep the bottle any longer…I am going to go get it for you RIGHT now…It is only one flight up,“ as I stood to leave. Gently touching my arm, he added a no, chuckling he does not really like champagne, and added he already won a bottle last week. “But you do not understand,” as I told him why he must take it. Almost falling out of his seat, he adamantly refused the bottle and proclaimed I indeed was a typical woman.

Guilty as charged, I laughed as I dined in the beautiful Venetian not for the last time with the honeymooners. I pranced while setting out my luggage not for the last time at 10pm even though I had until 1:00am. I went to bed early on a 2.0 mattress not for the last time to dream where I would sail to next. Gosh, I would have just died if I had to return my cruise rewards deposit within 30 days of purchase. The celebration continued the next morning with Lady Liberty holding her torch held high as the Dawn passed her. From my balcony she exhalted, “Free at last! Free at last! Thank God Almighty Coka, you are free at last!” Wait. That was Dr. King. She exalted, “Breath free Coka! Breath free from the wretched refuse of your winter shores!” Or something like that. Returning to still winter, I delivered the bottle of champagne to Mr. Coka and he asked where I was off to next.

Ab-so-lut-ley AWESOME once again Coka!

:D :D :D

Gurl we must talk....;)

I will be on the Dawn this fall to celebrate my birthday!

~~~~After my Russian Spirit Dance ~~~~
Would I be so lucky as to experience your Romanian spa god on the Dawn?
Oh be still my heart!
