irishteddybear Posted May 23, 2010 #26 Share Posted May 23, 2010 Never felt the need. Must be a Regent / Seabourn thing! :) Having sailed twice on Regent, I have never felt inclined to take the open bottles home, and you know the reputation us Irish have for enjoying a drink.:):):)
wripro Posted May 23, 2010 #27 Share Posted May 23, 2010 If I had seen Bombay Saphhire at the bars after having been told there was none aboard a quick word to the Hotel Manager would solve the problem, I'm sure.
LOVE@CRUISE Posted May 24, 2010 #28 Share Posted May 24, 2010 Do you take the open bottles home as you do on Seabourn or Regent You can, but only in checked luggage (unless you are driving =) We are onboard Shadow now and the champagne in the suite when we embarked was Pommery. The only advantage of specifying your beverage of choice before you board is if it is something unusual. For example DH prefers Dimple scotch; when we have requested this (online) before sailing it has not only been in the suite but also in the bars. We only booked this cruise about 3 weeks prior to sailing and there didn't seem to be enough time to accomodate his special request. Not to worry: Chivas, JW Red or Black, Glenmorangie, Dewers, and a few others are readily available. The only scotch whiskey on this voyage with an extra charge is JW Blue ($20/shot.)
