jhaasz Posted May 18, 2010 #1 Share Posted May 18, 2010 We are coming into Orlando two days prior to our cruise. I have been debating (and debating) on whether or not to rent a car. There will be four of us plus luggage so only a minivan will do. We do want to go to the Kennedy Space Center, so that's a plus for a rental. However, I can see it now - the headaches in dropping off the rental and shuttling to the cruise terminal, trying to get us and four suitcases and four carry-ons on the shuttle, fighting (no offense) with everyone else trying to get on. This is cruise number 20 (I think) and I have yet to rent a car. Thoughts on this?
JohninDC Posted May 18, 2010 #2 Share Posted May 18, 2010 Rent the car, drop all of the bags and 3 passengers at the port - only one (with no bags) drops the car off and rides the shuttle back. Good luck!:)

sunandsnow Posted May 20, 2010 #4 Share Posted May 20, 2010 Rent a car. Easier to get around Orlando too and be able to eat, shop, sightsee, etc. Will also be good to have a car in the Cocoa Beach area to pick up last minute bottles of water, pop, etc. and easier to go out to dinner with a car. The car will be cheaper in the long run than paying for taxis. Orlando and Cocoa Beach area are easy to navigate on your own.
