Wine in check-in bag? or Carry on?

I know I can take a bottle of wine on the cruise, but I'm not sure if it needs to be carried on with me? or packed in the luggage?

 

Also, can I take a wine opener or do I have to request one while on board?

If your cruiseline allows wine, you may carry it on. Your attendant will get you a corkscrew, if you don't bring one.

You can carry it on the SHIP, but if you're flying, you can't carry it on the PLANE! It would have to be in your checked luggage for any flights.
