speciality restaurants sampling on embarkation day?

seem to remember reading somewhere awhile ago that the speciality restaurants are open on embarkation day and serve finger food samples...

is this on all sailings?

how far are the restaurants apart? would it be feasible to stop by/snack at all of them while looking around?

The speciality restaurants had samples on the Spirit two years ago and last year on the Dawn. I would be interested in knowing if this is still done on the Jewel on embarkation day also.

I've never seen it. However, we usually eat at Cagneys, LeBistro or Italian restaurant. We do not care for the Asian restaurants on NCL.

We try to avoid the main dining room.

I remember this on either the Gem or Jewel last year. I do know that they don't do it if they have had any Noro-virus as an added precaution. We will be on the Jewel in a week and I'll report back on whether the sampling was available.

Sorry to say, but when we were on the Jewel Oct/Nov. 09, they didn't have any samples of any Specialty Restaurant! No big deal. We ate lunch in the Tsars dining room which was nice, quiet and good food. That's all that matters.

On the Gem last feb and no food tasting at all.

 

Not even a free welcome aboard drink. Not that we carred, we were so giddy with excitement that we baught the drinks and enjoyed the sail away.
